Your generosity during Children Rising’s 2023 Fall Appeal is truly inspiring and humbling.
The past several years have presented unique challenges for the children, families, educators, and Children Rising.
Your gifts have come at a critical time to nurture struggling children in a circle of care. You provide these kids a fairer chance to succeed in school … and in life.

Your support has also come at a critical time for Children Rising.
In the midst of so much uncertainty, we are collectively called to do more for the children in our neighborhood schools. Thank you for coming alongside us this year.
Because of you, 310 smart, eager-to-learn children can receive one-on-one tutoring this year. Through your generosity, we raised a total of $155,000, providing kids in your community the opportunity for a more fair and equal chance of success in elementary school, middle school, and beyond.

Our work is far from over!
Over the past 18 months, your support has enabled us to launch FamilyBridge and expand into homework tutoring. This all-new program allows us to extend our wrap-around services beyond the classroom.
Through your gifts, we are closing the circle of care, creating a more nurturing, supportive environment for child learning.
We are now supporting children in afterschool programs through homework tutoring.
We are also partnering with families so they may further develop the skills, confidence, and tools to provide in-home learning. When families are an integral part of their child’s education, they can confidently nurture and champion their child’s academic success.
In addition, we welcomed 100 new tutors to our Succeeding by Reading, Path2Math, and FamilyBridge programs. Your gifts have ensured that they receive training, tools, and support to nurture and enable an eager young child who just happens to struggle in reading and math. They are tutoring 200 kids this school year—kids who would not otherwise have received the support they need in school. And that number continues to grow each week!
It truly has been a transformative year!
Challenges remain for the children, families, and educators in our community. But I see many signs of hope and progress.
I am so thankful for you. You have made it possible for so many children to develop the skills and confidence they need to rise to their God-given.
