Classy Peer-to-Peer Campaign Instructions to Team Captains

You will need to create two fundraising pages. The first will be a Team Fundraising page for your team members to join. The second will be your own personal fundraising page that you will also add to the team.

Create your Team Fundraising Page

Go to the campaign home page:

  1. Click Become a Fundraiser.
  2. Click on the third option, Create a Team.
  3. Log in via Facebook or an existing Classy account, otherwise Create an Account.

Note: If you have made an online donation or event registration with Children Rising, you may be asked to Log in. If you do not remember your password, select “Forgot Password” and a password reset will be sent to your email.

Team Fundraising Goal

Team Page Headline (You can use the default headline, but we encourage you to personalize it!)

 Optional Short URL (A short URL will help people remember the web address of your fundraising page. An example would your team name.)

You can always go back later and edit any of these fields.

  1. Upload a photo or click Continue and do it later.


To continue personalizing your team page, click Manage on the top right of the page.

  1. Use the Story tab to personalize your team story page (example).
  2. Under the Story tab, you can also go to Updates at any time during your campaign to post progress updates, photos, videos, etc. to your team page.
  3. Use the Donations tab to see who has donated so far.
  4. The Emails tab provides you with easy email templates you can use to recruit team members, ask for donations, or thank your donors. Just copy and paste an email message into your email and invite family, friends and neighbors to the challenge.
  5. Go to the Teammates tab to see your team members’ fundraising progress.
  6. Go to the Details tab to edit your Team Photo, Team Name, Team Headline, Short URL, Team Fundraising Goal, and Team Thank You Message.

Good job! You have created a Team Page! Now join it by creating your individual page.

Create your Individual Fundraising Page

  1. Visit your Team Page by clicking View on the top right or typing the complete URL in your web browser, (i.e.
  2. Log in if you’re not already.
  3. This time select the second option, Join the Team.

  1. Upload a photo or click Continue and do it later.
  2. As with the Team Page, the Manage button on the top right will give you tools to personalize your individual fundraising page, track progress, and post updates.


Congratulations! You are ready to fundraise!

Now that your page is all set up, share it via email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and any other channel you use. Share links are at the right of your individual fundraising page, under the banner picture. You can also go to the Emails section of your page for templates to copy, personalize, and send through your email account. Make sure you are logged in and in Manage mode.
