Nicole joined the Children Rising board in July 2024 with a passion for supporting children and youth in the Oakland and East Bay community. She brings nearly three decades of experience as a marketing leader, storytelling expert, and organizational leadership to her role. Nicole will support Children Rising in reaching out to and connecting with key partners and stakeholders so that we can serve many more children in Oakland. She considers it a privilege to be part of the team and looks forward to helping bridge the educational equity gap.
Nicole holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She has previously served as an Executive Board Member for Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Oakland Bay Area Chapter. Jack and Jill provides supportive leadership for Black children and their families since 1955.
She is married and has three children, and in her free time, she enjoys hiking bay area trails, spending time with family and friends, and planning her next travel destination.
